Ogwola's professional journey commenced on March 10, 1983, when he joined the Federal Government of Nigeria as an apprentice printer with the Federal Government Press. Over the span of 35 years, he climbed the ranked to the position of Assistant Director at GL 15 level and served with distinction as a production manager at the FGP Abuja office until his retirement in March 2018. His tenure was marked by meticulous attention to detail and meritorious service to the nation.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Ogwola has been deeply involved in unionism, showcasing his commitment to the welfare and rights of workers. He was elected as an executive member of the Printing and Publishing Workers Union of Nigeria (PAPWUN) in 1991, marking the beginning of his active involvement in union activities. His dedication and leadership qualities were further recognized as he ranked to the position of president of the Joint Action Committee of Labour Unions (JACOLU) and chairman of the Association of the Senior Civil Service of Nigeria, Federal Ministry of Information and Culture chapter. His role in championing the rights of workers and fostering harmonious industrial relations underscore his capacity for leadership and negotiation.
Furthermore, Ogwola is a member of the Chartered Institute of Professional Printers of Nigeria (CIPPON), demonstrating his commitment to professional excellence and adherence to industry standards.
Educationally, Ogwola's foundation was laid at St. Patrick R.C.M Primary School in Ikobi. He continued his academic pursuit at Government Secondary School Otukpo, Benue State, where he successfully completed his WAEC in 1981. His commitment to learning extended beyond secondary education as he pursued further studies at Kaduna Polytechnic, where he specialized in printing and graduated in 1993. His thirst for knowledge led him to obtain a Post Graduate Diploma from the University of Uyo in 1999. Not content with these achievements, he pursued a Master of Science degree in Engineering Project Management from Coventry University, UK, in 2013, further enriching his skill set and knowledge base.
