NZOKA COMMISSIONS RENOVATED OBS STUDIO ON CAMP



Corps members in the Editorial and Publicity Community Development Service (CDS) Group in Jalingo, Taraba State have been extolled for their groundbreaking contribution towards improving the facilities and outlay of the Orientation Broadcasting Service (OBS) Studio at the Permanent Orientation Camp, Sibre - an appendage of Public Relations Unit of the NYSC Scheme in the state. 



The commendation was made by the State Coordinator NYSC Taraba Mr Anthony Nzoka during the commissioning of a number of projects executed in the studio on Friday, 26th August 2022. The State Coordinator who was represented by the Assistant Director, Planning, Research and Statistics Mr Mike Obemeatta praised the corps members on their efforts which has significantly improved the outlay and aesthetic ambience of the broadcast outfit through the construction of an elegant bookshelf, partitioning of the studio into different working compartments, installation of glass sliding windows, wall and ceiling fans, donation of mobile speaker as well as the beautification of the main studio hub with a wallpaper relief design. Mr Obemeatta described the project as a true reflection of the spirit of patriotic and selfless service which is at the heart of the NYSC core values. 



In her remarks, the President of the CDS group, Miss Patience Abah noted that the decision by the group to execute the various projects was borne out of their observation of the felt needs of the broadcast outfit since their days on the camp where most of them worked as volunteers in the OBS. She also acknowledged  similar efforts by previous executives of the CDS group which her administration decided to build upon. 


Also speaking at the event, the Assistant Director, Community Development Service Mr Sam Lawi who was represented by Haj. Hafsat Shekarau, a senior official in the branch enjoined other corps members to take a cue from the current leadership of the CDS group and endeavour to build on the sterling legacy they have created through the execution of the said projects. 


Other senior NYSC officials present at the commissioning include the Camp Manager, Mr Digol Wankari, Mr Jerome Donatus who represented the Jalingo Zonal Inspector and Mr Daniel Esiemokai who represented the Public Relations Officer, NYSC Taraba State.
