The Nigeria women’s depend on team has set a new African record to win the gold medals in the 4x100m event of the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.
The team was inspired by world record holder and 100m hurdles champion Tobi Amusan ran 42.10secs as Personal Best (PB) and the new African record.
Amusan anchored the race alongside Favour Ofili, Rosemary Chukwuma and Grace Nwokocha beating host England to second place with a time of 42.41 secs while Jamaica finished third with a time of 43.08secs.
