Manchester United have taken a 'massive' step forward with two Premier League clean sheets on the bounce, but there has to be more to come.
That's the message from in-form United goalkeeper, David de Gea, who played a pivotal role during the 1-0 victory over rock-bottom Norwich City on Saturday afternoon.
Re-establishing his place as number one this season, the Spaniard once again produced several fine saves before United teammate Cristiano Ronaldo settled the scores from the penalty spot.
The result means Ralf Rangnick has picked up 1-0 wins in each of his two Premier League games in charge — against Crystal Palace and Norwich — which came either side of a 1-1 draw with Young Boys in a Champions League dead rubber.
But despite United's positive form right now, de Gea want to see improvements in the future.
Speaking to the MUFC website, the goalkeeper said: "It was a great game, the rain was like proper English football.
"It's a massive win for us. Norwich improved a lot since their new manager came, so it was a tough game, for sure, especially the last 15-20 minutes.
"We gave the ball away too easy and too quick, so we need to improve on that, but the first half we controlled the game, we had the ball, we created chances.
"Of course we want to improve, we want to score more goals, but two [Premier League] clean sheets in a row is big for us, because we were conceding a lot of goals in the last few weeks. It's important for us.
"We can take confidence from Norwich, from Palace and let's keep going."
