The Nigerian Bar Association's Benin branch commended the Lagos State Judicial Panel on EndSARS on Wednesday for its timely report following the investigation into the 2020 protests.
The Bar expressed its appreciation in a statement signed by its Chairman and Secretary, Messrs Pius Oiwoh and Andrew Lawani, respectively, according to NAN.
It commended lawyers who provided free legal services to victims, adding that the Bar was pleased to support the panel's unrivaled finding of facts.

According to NAN, the Bar expressed its appreciation in a statement signed by its Chairman and Secretary, Messrs Pius Oiwoh and Andrew Lawani, respectively.
It commended attorneys who gave free legal assistance to victims, saying that the Bar was glad to support the panel's unrivaled determination of facts.
On November 15, the Lagos State Judicial Panel on EndSARS issued its findings to the Lagos State Government.
The commission was established on October 19, 2020, to investigate
citizen accusations of rights violations by members of the Police Special Anti-Robbery Squad
The panel, directed by Justice Doris Okuwobi, sat for almost a year, listening to petitioners, witnesses, experts, and attorneys testify.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the NBA characterized the panel's assessment as "a job well done."
"The NBA Benin Bar supports the report of the Lagos State Judicial Panel of Inquiry on reparations for SARS victims and other concerns."
"We commend the retired Justice Doris Okuwobi-led panel for their bravery, activity, and tenacity in producing an all-encompassing report."
"Members of the panel have inscribed their names in gold.
"We also express our gratitude to our colleagues who represented several of the victims, many of them did so pro gratis; they have exemplified the greatest traditions for which the Bar is recognized."
"The Lagos group reached far-reaching conclusions and offered many suggestions."
"We expect that the panel established by the governor of Lagos State would produce a Whitepaper soon so that the panel's recommendations may be implemented."
"We also hope that the content of the Lagos report would serve as a lesson to everybody," it said.
The Bar also recommended other governments that have established such committees to make their reports public in order to foster public trust.
