Barr. A A. Echo, Condemned Banks Robbery At Otukpo Town

At early hour of of Friday evening, 4:15pm on 20th October 2023,  it was said that some suspected syndicate groups of armed robbers simultaneously attacked four banks and a close by police station in Otukpo. 

Barr. A.A. Echo Condemned the dubious act by the unknown syndicates who invaded banks and also killed the innocent citizens especially those who came to transacts and the security personnels.

Barr. Sympathized with the affected banks, security personnels and the individuals who were affected by the armed robbers operation.

 The affected banks are: UBA, Stanbic Bank, Access Bank and Zenith Bank, an operation that took place in the hot of day light is one of a kinds as lives and properties were lost and other were injured in the process.

Not Minding the security personnels on guard, the robbers stormed the various banks and; rather than focus on stealing money, embarked on a shooting spree which led to many people loosing their lives.

After being challenged by some security men on guard, the armed robbers abandoned the operation and took to their heels and opened fire on the security personnels along Otukpo-Taraku road, security operatives engaged them in a sporadic shootout resulting in the death of the DPO of Otukpo, CSP John Adikwu and three other police men.
