....It was two years down the line in my marriage.the pressure was too much,not from my husband,Buchi loves me so much and would never hurt me.he was very supportive and believing...

But that wasn't the case with mama,she was very eager to carry her ground children from her only son.she didn't have the patience for the delay,two years was like two decades to her.

She'd either come home to ask me to give her ground children,or would call me on the phone..

My husband had tried to make her see reasons,and instead channel her energy to prayers, asking God to bless us.

But mama would never listen.she kept saying it's either I perform my duties as a wife or Buchi gets another woman.

I was going mad,my marriage was collapsing,I didn't know what to do.

I had been to the hospital and nothing seems to be wrong with me,that was even the annoying side.its better to know what the problem is,and one is trying to get solution,rather than been told all is okay and well,when in essence it's not....

It was our third anniversary,my husband's hands wrapped around me,some beautiful kisses and loving loving,it was like our wedding night,we both slept off afterwards,,our anniversaries are always beautiful in the bedroom.as early as 7am,I heard a knocked at the door,am coming,I said going to get it.

Opening the door,it was mama...

Madam, happy wedding anniversary, i just came to remind you it's the third year of your marriage to my son, it's been 36 whole months without you been able to conceive,it's obvious something is wrong with you,your mate that got married same day already has 2 children,you are yet to even get pregnant.

Chioma,you would not continue to stay in my son's house as a fellow man, it's either you give us children or you leaveeeeeeeee

Ahaa mama, isn't it too early for all these, Buchi said as he walked in to the sitting room.

I was already in tears....

I ran into the room I wept my eyes out...

I had my bath,mama had obviously come for war,I had to leave....

I decided to go to Bella's...

Getting to her house and seeing how red my eyes were from crying,she didn't need to be told that all wasn't well....

What is it Chi,she asked...

Mama,is home,she came so early,I am so tired of all these,I am,I said in tears...

Chioma,but you know you are the cause of your problem,I have told you of the prophet who's doing great signs and wonders for people,you have refused to go see him, Bella said.

But you know my husband doesn't like the idea of me visiting prophets,we are catholic and he doesn't want anything thing aside his believe.i had reminded her.

But Chi,who will tell him we went somewhere,see,a woman has to do what she has to do, who's receiving the whole shame,you, who's be insulted and maltreated,you, whose time is running out,same you.chioma you better shine your eyes and wise up.Bella said..

Indeed Bella was right,I am the one who wears the shoe of shame,I should look for solution....

Bella, let's go to the prophet,I said...

Now you are talking,she said.she went in and changed into something better.....

We soon arrived in the place of worship,and then to the prophet's big office..

After exchanging pleasantries,I told him why I had come...

He did some prayers,and calling of different angels,he came to me and looked in my eyes,and palm,I was wondering what the problem was...

Meanwhile,we heard some noise coming from inside the restroom,and seeing the curiosity on our faces, he said,my plumber is fixing something in there,oh,okay sir,we said relieved

My daughter,you are very okay,very very okay,he said...

I didn't know whether to be happy or not, because I have heard that a thousand time at the hospital,all I wanted was solution..

Your husband is okay too,so when I say you are okay,I don't mean your husband is the one with the problem.but the thing is,the enemy has made your husband's sperm like water inside of you,and as such it can not impregnate you... the prophet said..

I was already in tears...

What do I do sir,I asked confused...

Hmmmmmm,my daughter,you need the sperm of someone annoited,an holy sperm like mine to enter you,then when ever any other sperm,like your husband's own goes into you,it will be fertile,he said...

What???,if I understand you sir,you want me to sleep with you, before I'd conceive?,I asked.

Yes my daughter, that's what the spirit is saying,he replied...

God forbid,I am a married woman,and I can not allow another man who is not my husband see my nakedness,I said in anger...

Well then, you may never have your own children,as that is the only solution,he said..

Bella, please let's leave here, I said..

Chi,you can't do this to yourself,we are here already, how many minutes will this take,just do it and get it over with,do this to stop all the pains and trouble you are going through,it breaks my heart to see you suffer, there's a reason for everything,a lot of women do this,and they are happy at the end,do this my friend and you'd never regret it. before you know it, you'd be done,a woman has to do what she has to do, I'd be outside, Bella said and left...........

Few months later,I found out I was pregnant,there was joy in the air,Buchi told his mother,who came over and was sorry for all she did and said...

Oh mama,I understand,and hold nothing against you, I said.she, Buchi and everyone was treating me like a queen,I was like a new born baby,the love was too much,I was very grateful to God....

Bella came visiting and she saw how mama,and my husband were carrying me like a princess,she was shocked...

When I was seeing her off we got talking...

Hmmm,my friend am really happy for you oh,you have been telling me how everyone has been treating you and taking care of you,I thought you were exergerrating,but coming and seeing things for myself,my sister,you are living in paradise, she said...

Thank you so much Bella,I can't thank God enough for showing me mercy, I said...

You mean you can't thank the prophet I introduced you to enough,if not for him,you wouldn't have been pregnant,his sperm is really a fertilizing one, she said..

Oh no Bella,this has nothing to do with your prophet,this is God,and I didn't do anything with your prophet,I couldn't bring myself to cheat on my husband,I explained....

Bella burst into laughter,ohh that's the lie you have chosen to tell yourself,my dear relax,you and I know the truth,I only wonder what would happen should your husband find out that the baby is not his,she said...

Bella,the baby is my husband's,God has remembered us,I said...

She looked at me from head to toes and laughed..no problem my dear, it's well,let me ran along,she said and left....

About two months later after Bella's visit,my husband changed towards me,he was very buttered at me, always angry, stopped sleeping on our bedroom, wouldn't provide food and other things, infact he became someone else.i was shocked at my husband's sudden change,I had asked him if I offended him countless times,but he wouldn't even say a word.i had to let mama know,and she promised to visit again...

Two days later she came as promised,and I narrated all that has been happening...

Buchi,what has your pregnant wife done to you that you are treating her this way,a woman that is almost due for delivery with your child,do you think it's easy having a human being in your stomach for months,what is wrong with you,mama quarrelled...

Oh!!! I had wanted this to be a secret,to send her out of my house quietly, but since she got you involved,it clearly means she wants a mess,and I'd oblige her,he said...

What are you talking about Buchi,mama asked confused,even I was too..

Mama,do you know that this idiot,is pregnant with another man's child,the bastard growing in her is not mine,but the child of one stupid prophet she has been seeing secretly, Buchi burst out to my surprise and that of his mother..

Eheennn,what did you just say,mama asked again,and Buchi repeated himself,I am sure because her friend who is aware told me so,she felt sorry for me for living in a fool's paradise and couldn't keep it any longer...he said.

Aluu, abomination, Chioma,how shameless can you be, sleeping around,and have the guts to impose the pregnancy on my son,you are wicked,evil and shameless,mama added, shouting.....

Buchi it's not true,please let me explain, it's your baby,I had nothing with the prophet, please Buchi,I tried explaining.. 

So you even agree there's a prophet,so it's true after all... Buchi said in anger..

Please, listen to me,let me explain, before I could say another word,I was thrown outside with my things,I begged for several hours but they didn't listen,I took a taxi and went to my parents place, without my things....

I told my parents the whole truth,the next day,they went to see Buchi and his mother,but they refused to hear any explanation,and told my parents to expect them by weekend,as they'd be coming to collect their bride price, and asked them to go with my things...

My parents told them they'd not touch my things,they should return them by themselves when coming to collect the bride price since they have refused any dialogue...

I was down and broken,I went to Bella,and wondered why she'd treat me that way...

Well my dear friend,I saw the way your husband and his people were treating you like the world best woman, singing your praises,and it broke my heart,I am only helping to save a man,you know I have a brother and won't be happy if he's deceived into raising another man's child,she said..

Belle, first of all, the prophet thing was all your idea from the beginning, secondly,even when I told you nothing happened between the prophet and I,you refused to believe, instead, decided to break my home,this has been your plan all along,I leave you with God.i said and walked away in tears....

It was weekend indeed,I prayed and begged God to change Buchi's mind and bring peace to my home,but at about 1pm, it seems God didn't answer me,as I saw Buchi in company of some of his kinsman and mother,they were bringing my things out of the vehicle,I knew it was finished....

I walked out with the little strength I had left and knelt, Buchi, please don't do this,I have never and will never cheat on you,I held him by his leg begging,he pushed me away and I fell to the ground,my mother rushed and helped me up.

Wait,a man said.

Buchi,is this your wife?,be asked..

Yes,the shameless thing sleeping with a prophet...

If this is your wife,then I am sure she's saying the truth,the young man said,all eyes turned to him, including me...

Buchi,this is the woman I told you  months ago I saved from a prophet who tried to rape her, because she refused sleeping with him,she even hit him on the head,and it's by God's grace he didn't die...

I looked at the man,he was the plumber man at the prophet's office....

Buchi was shocked at first,but what if she went back and did it,I mean her friend said she slept with him as she came out of his office looking rough,he managed to say...

I didn't sleep with him,and never went back there. that day Immediately Bella left, I sat down in confusion, could this really be the  solution I need, could the said holy sperm help make my husband's sperm fertilize in me, should I do this once and for all and then carry my baby,I was thinking within,no,no,no,I can never sin against  God and my husband like this,I have never read any part of the bible that permits this evil,I shall  never defile my matrimonial bed,I concluded...

Just then, the prophet walked to me,and started touching my face,you are a very beautiful woman,you deserve to have your own children,this won't harm you, it's just a way to help you,he said as he continued touching my face,he was about going down my dress when I held his hand.

Take your dirty hands off me,I can never ever defile my vows before God and man,you will not have your way with me,no place in the bible is this stated,if this is your solution,then keep it,I said and pushed him away from me angrily...

Home dare you,I want you,and I must have you whether you like it or not,he said came to me, and was trying to remove my dress,I quickly grabbed the vase on the table and hit his head, the man working inside ( plumber ),rushed out....

I didn't mean to hurt him,he tried to rape me,I explained to him.

I heard everything,you should be mindful of places you go for solution, he'd be fine,am not sure the wound is deep,you may leave,he said.

God bless you sir,I said running out...

I didn't see Bella immediately,so I called her on the phone,she came out from a provision store...

I was so tensed and trying to rearrange myself...

Come one chioma, there's no big deal, it's was only sex, relax and dress well,she said.

I wanted to tell her nothing happened,that I couldn't do it,I figured she'd convince me other wise,so I let her be,and then we went home.i explained,I am sorry,I would have told you,but I know you'd be angry as you have warned against visiting prophets,I said in tears.

Everyone was starring at me,Buchi and the plumber man..

But,but,but what if it's a lie,and the baby is for the prophet, Buchi asked no one in particular..

Buchi,what if the baby is yours,what if you are accusing your wife wrongly, would you let your first child,a child you have longed for grown outside your roof,and divorce your wife over what she's innocent of.Buchi there's only one way to find out,your wife is obviously far gone,do not collect the bride price yet,let her have the baby,then you have a DNA test to know the paternity of the baby,do not end up doing what you'd regret, because the woman I saw that day at the prophet's, would never cheat on her husband,the plumber man said....

My son,your friend is right,I believe it's only few months to go,and the truth will unravel itself,you can not let your blood be born outside your house if the child is truly yours,mama said...

Okay then, she'd go with us,untill the baby is born and then we will take it up from there, Buchi said...

I was happy to go home,then I heard NO MY DAUGHTER WILL REMAIN IN MY HOUSE UNTIL THE CHILD IS BORN from my father,I can not allow my daughter live in a place where she isn't loved and welcome,by the time the baby is born,and the truth is out,we will take it up from there,my father said,then Buchi and his people went back home....

Mama was coming once a while to check up on me.Fastfotward,i had my baby,and it was a bouncing baby boy,,my parents and everyone was happy, message was sent to mama and Buchi and they came over,a DNA test was Carried out in an hospital Choice of Buchi and indeed the baby was his, infact even without the test,the baby was his carbon copy.....

He and his people were very happy and they rejoiced.when I was to be discharged, Buchi came to take me home,but my father refused and insisted I went home to his place....

Two days later, Buchi came with his people to apologize...

I know the daughter I raised,but it was obvious you didn't know the wife you married.see how you would have  turned a blessing away,a baby we have all prayed for for years,came and you allowed the words of an outsider almost destroyed your home,it is better we think things over and over before making decisions,and it's wrong to make decisions of such in anger,my father addressed...

I am sorry papa,I have learnt my lesson,I am deeply deeply sorry Chioma for the way I treated you in a time you needed me the most, please forgive me,he apologized,same was his family..I have greatly missed my husband and my home,I forgave him,and then we all went back home...

The baby dedication was a big one, our baby was named Peace,indeed he brought peace to our lives in a time of war....

Friends can either make or break us.may we have true friends as we stay true to our friends too....
