Earlier today, the people's mandate and of course, the power of truth prevailed over self imposition and falsehood as court dismissed a pre-election case filed against the Honourable Member representing Apa/Agatu Federal Constituency, Hon. Samuel Odagboyi Godday.
Recall that in may 2022, Hon. Godday Samuel was duly elected and returned the winner of the APC national assembly primary elections for Apa/Agatu Federal Constituency; unsatisfied with the unanimous decision of the people, one Adama J. Adama, an aspirant for the same seat under the All Progressives Congress (APC), instituted a petition against the victory of the Reps Member at the Federal High Court, Abuja; seeking the nullification of the primary elections and that he (Adama) be returned elected via another self acclaimed kangaroo primaries.
Delivering judgement in the early hours of today, Honourable Justice Emeka Nwite of Court 8, Federal High Court dismissed the case for lack of merritt and affirmed the candidature of Hon. Godday Samuel as the authentic winner of the APC primary elections for Apa/Agatu House of Representatives.
The Reps Member in remarks, dedicated the court verdict to the good people of Apa/Agatu Federal Constituency as usual, noting that he is never deterred by the distractive antics of opposition but remained resolute and focused on the task at hand; to deliver the real dividends of quality representation, which hitherto, has been out of reach by his people.
Hon. Godday further charged members of the All Progressives Congress in Apa and Agatu Local Government Areas to shield their swords and work for the collective success of the party in the 2023 general elections.
