Poem Title: Domestic Violence

He appeared as a good man at first impression

Beneath his personality is a demonic character

He bought me different kind of gifts

He cloned his secret with deception

His smile was a delusion of realism

I became suspicious with confusion

He stopped eating my food

He starved me sexually

He hated me romantically

The communication between us was messed up.

I was dating a strange man.

I was dating a man who hid the truth.

I fell in love with a stranger.

I went to bed with a stranger.

I prayed with a stranger.

I loved him more than I love myself

The reason I respect him was,

Because he was telling me the truth I thought

He made me trust him.

I gave him my whole heart.

But he was not who he said he was.

I was heartbroken,

Because I have picked and loved the wrong man

He abused me mentally, physically and emotionally

He cheats on me.

He claims he has the right to cheat.

I have no right to question him.

Fighting me has become his daily routine

I refused to tell my parents

Because I was afraid of losing my marriage

He threatened me with divorce

He stopped from using my phone

I was drowning in depression

My heart was a deep ocean of trauma

He beats me, until I gave up my ghost!

To cover his scandal

He buried the knife into my stomach
