Serena the lioness

Time have had it's unveiling

In phases you launched into history

The racket in pride you held

Elephants in their sizes embarked

Buffalos in their strength engaged

Pythons in their scary length attacked

Yet daring your resolve appeared

While the fight for the tittle sustained

Your skin never was a barrier

The waters of hate you swum

Across to the shores of victory

Your weakness you had no doubts

In frustration justifiable outbursts made

Yet in self control came to calm

Stabilized with strength to play

While racism had its expectations

Yours was a proof so different

That black not only beauty is

Strength resides comfortably too

While the sweetness of your reign is savoured

The end never was thought of

As the lioness you is bows to rest

Let history smile at you profusely
