Corps member, Empower Orphans Of Hope Orphanage Home Of A 7 Days Training Program In Jalingo, Taraba State

 

A 2021 Batch "B" Stream 1, corps member, Corper Igwe I. Abigail empowered orphans at  hope orphanage home Mile six(6) Jalingo, Taraba State. A 7 days training program on skill acquisition bag making, 


This took place at Hope Orphanage Home, Mill 6 Jalingo, taraba state 





These seven days training program is to enble them selttle and have something doing for a living. The workshop on skill acquisition (bag making) to the orphans is enable them live an independent life through the skills acquisition which she set up as her own personal community development services (CDS).


Speaking with the legitblog correspondents, the founded of Hope Orphanage Home, said, "it is a great privilege being part of this wonderful project and I said 'thank you for everyone in attendance to witness this very moment and especially Corper Igwe Abigail who have in his little come to this Orphanage Home to empower them to be a greater people in the future. I warnly appreciate your effects and also want to use this opportunity to encourage other corps members to do their best to render the little help they could to lifte this nation high through community development service; as these will will go a long way in promoting NYSC and the country as well.



PROJECT TITLE


WORKSHOP ON SKILL ACQUISITION BAG MAKING, AT THE HOPE ORPHANAGE HOME MILE six(6) JALINGO.


PROJECT SUMMARY

The seven (7) days  training program kicked off ,after the opening ceremony. all the participants where made to compete among themselves and the best among them will be empowered with all the needed materials to start up his/her business and to also teach others who where not able to learn perfectly.


PROGRESS MADE SO FAR:

All the participants were able to learn, how to make purses, unisex bags, lunch boxs, traveling Bags, school bags, souvenirs e.t.c. The Best among them was empowered with all the needed materials to start up his/her own business, and a certificate was given.

NEXT PHASE OF THE PROJECT: seminar tagged; DRUGILICIOUS : Reaping the gain and reversing the pain.




Corper Igwe Abigail said, "I appreciate the NYSC for giving me this opportunity on the plater of gold which open me up to community development service, and to my fellow corps members, I urge you all to be part of this community development service in your little ways as these will be of help to the people within and across the community who are underprivilege.


Stressed further, she said, "Things are not really easy lately from the pandemic and the economic situation of the country; but nothing is as important as making people happy and excited by your contributions to the society.


I pray God give me more resources to continue in the community development service as the core value is to help people in need and open them up to the reality of life.
