Alaga Olayemi, a
native of Oke-Onigbin in Kwara State's Isin Local Government Area, was
kidnapped and set free by his kidnappers.
According to
security sources, the 69-year-old victim was released by his kidnappers on
Friday in the Isanlu-Isin region after his family paid a ransom of one million
naira.
It was learned that
the family had paid ransom to the abductors for the second time at the same
location.
According to the
sources, the victim, Alaga Olayemi, spent around five days in his kidnappers'
den before being released.
Attempts to contact
the state police command's spokesman, Mr. Okasanmi Ajayi, in Ilorin on Tuesday
were unsuccessful.
Keep in mind that the state police command has a zero tolerance for ransom payment by families of kidnap victims in the state.
