Bandits abducted two wives and a daughter of the former councilor

The Bandits invaded Yar Tsakuwa Village in Rabah Local
Government Area of Sokoto State, abducted nine persons including the serving councilor
of the area, Lawali Bello.
The Two wives and a daughter of the former councilor of the
area, Alhaji Abdullahi Garba, were among the abductees,
A resident, Nazifi Abdullahi, said that the bandits came
around midnight on Saturday and operated till 2:50am.
The bandits reportedly ransacked houses and shops including
medical stores and robbing people of their belongings.
According to Abdullahi, the bandits stole several motorcycles,
food stuff and assorted drugs.
He said they abducted over 20 persons but released others
while returning to their hideouts.
“But nine persons are currently with them, including our
serving councilor and wives and daughter of our former councilor,” he said.
He stated that the former councilor had left the village because of incessant attacks.
He also added that the wives and the daughter were in the
village to attend the naming ceremony of their newborn grandson.
Stressed further, Abdullahi said “The bandits shot and injured one person, who was taken to Talata Mafara General Hospital in Zamfara State for treatment”.
