Police To Shortdown Okada In Makurdi, Benue State

 




THE Benue State Police Command stated it would embark on a massive clampdown on bikes from 8: 0 pm to 5:59 am in Makurdi, the u . s . capital.


Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Anene Sewuese Catherine disclosed this in a statement.


She warned towards flouting the directive that restrained movement of bikes in Makurdi.


The PPRO noted the clampdown observed an increase in the matters to do of bikes past 8:00 pm in spite of the Executive Order on the restriction of movement.


“Motorcyclists are by means of way of this word cautioned to desist from transferring between 8:00 pm to 6:00 am as the order provides.”




The restriction, in accordance to the statement, was aimed at limiting unlawful things to do at bizarre hours and easing policing throughout the festive period.


The Benue State authorities had on May 16, 2016 introduced a restriction on the movement of commercial motorcyclists in Makurdi between 8:00 pm to 6:00 am.
