Fintiri donates N27 million to the families of slain Gen Zirkushu and three others.


 Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, the governor of Adamawa State, has contributed N27 million to the relatives of Brigadier General Dzarma Kennedy Zirkushu and three soldiers slain by Boko Haram in Chibok, Borno State, lately.


During an ISWAP attack, Gen Zirkushu, the Commander of the 28 Task Force in Chibok, a major, and two other troops were killed in an ambush while on their way to offer support to a military post in Askira Uba.


Gov Fintiri said that the national flag would be flown at half-mast for three days, and that the popular Lagos Street in Yola will be renamed in honor of Gen Zirkushu.


"As a gesture of sympathy, I am presenting N10 million to the family of Brig Gen Zirkushu, and another N17 million to the families of the other three soldiers who perished alongside him," he stated.


On Friday, the bones of late Brig. Gen. Zirkushu and other troops were interred.
