The West African Examinations Council, Nigeria, on Monday, launched the West African Senior School Certificate Examination for School Candidates, 2021 in Nigeria.
The Head of the Nigeria National Office, Mr Patrick Areghan, while announcing the result at the WAEC office stated the examination, which was an global one, took place simultaneously throughout the five member international locations of the Council – The Gambia, Ghana, Liberia, Nigeria and Sierra Leone.
He added that the identical international timetable was used.
He said, “The examination ended on October 8, 2021, and today, Monday, November 22, 2021 – 45 days after the conduct of the closing paper, we are releasing the result.
“This is a file time, taking into consideration the fact that we misplaced a week to insecurity, all through the marking workout in the South East, occasioned through the heightened anxiety before and during the Anambra Gubernatorial election.
“It is, therefore, no longer true, as you can see, that WAEC delayed the launch of the results of the WASSCE (SC) 2021 as being speculated in some quarters. We have saved to our promise, in spite of all odds.
“We need to be praised instead than being vilified. Nothing can be quicker or formerly than what we have done.
