TEXT:2Cor.4.12 - So then death worketh in us, but life in you.
In the beginning, God created man from the dust of the ground and gave him his life by breathing into his nostrils and from that time man became a living soul possessing the power of God within him. The Bible said anything Adam named the animal that was its name, man was walking in the power of God because he was carrying the life of God within him but after Satan brought deception to him and eve, they fell into it and lost the power of God because the life of God was out of place within them. The fall in the garden of eden brought about the life of the flesh that is completely different from the life of God that was why God could no longer keep them in the garden of eden, they now possess a different life that is not compatible with the life of God, because of the fall in the garden of eden everyone born of a woman through natural decent possess the life of the flesh as a life;Psalms 51:5
[5]For I was born a sinner—
yes, from the moment my mother conceived me.
So in order for anyone to walk with God and in the power of God, the condition is that death must occur before this is possible. The power of God flows from the life of God within us, the power of God is not just an activity or a performance but it is a manifestation of the presence of God dwelling within us. This is why God doesn't just give out his power arbitrary, until the condition of death is fulfilled walking in the power of God might just be a wishful thinking. This is why many of our youth are clamoring for power yet they are not walking in it, they run from one conference to another, from one crusade to another, some every run to touch the suit of some men of God thinking they will just start walking in the power of God. Many of them are desiring the power of God but are running from the prize that they have to pay which is death, before God can commit his power to you, death must be certified. This is why Jesus said;Luke.9.23 - And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
Sincerely what is hindering God from giving several of us his power is self, God wants his work to be carryout upon the face of the earth but not with the energy of the flesh. Several of us are full of ourselves, majority of our desires and focus is ourselves. God will never release his power to anyone until his life is what is evident in such a man, many of us think it is fasting and prayers that brings a man to the power of God, it is not it.
If you go to genuine men of God that God is using currently one thing they will tell you is that death is the key and gateway to the power of God. Many of us especially youth are running from pillar to post, we put aside this condition and principles and we keep running to meetings so that apostles selman or apostles Michael orokpo will lay hand on us so that we would fall into the power of God, this is never possible. Elisha never received the power of God by Just falling down under the anointing, there was a place of death that came to his life. Do you know he close down his business in order to follow Elijah? Do you know he followed Elijah up and down to wherever the spirit is leading him? The sons of the prophet could not follow Elijah because they said he has no destination but yet Elisha followed him diligently, no one suddenly enters the power of God, you must come to the end of your life before you can enter into the power of God. You must give up yourself before you can experience the power of God, this is the condition many of us are running from yet we keep crying God use me. How will God use you when you are not dead to yourself? How will God give you his power when what you currently doing is for yourself? You are working for yourself, living for yourself yet you are crying to God to use you. God uses death people, this is because he puts his life within them so that the excellence of the power might be from him and not them;2 Corinthians 4:7
[7]We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves.
Many of us are not dead to ourselves yet we want to carry the power of God, don't you know that self will always take the glory as long as he is living in you? No matter what you do for God as long as it is not his life working in you, it is unacceptable. The Bible said:Rom.8.8 - So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
The life of the flesh within you is the hindrance to the power of God in your life, until you come to the cross to be emptied of self, you will keep crying for the power of God it will never come. Until death has occurred in your life, you will never walk in the power of God so i want to ask you today; you want to walk in the power of God, are you willing to lose your life? Are you willing to come to the cross for death? Have you truly encountered the cross in your life? Please search deep within your life and surrender your life for death, if you truly want to experience the power of God.
