THE BEAUTY OF IGNORANCE

It was a new dawn, the songbirds were busy sing a new song of the morning, the brilliant sun has already begin its duty; the ray of the sun shone through the window and beautify my sitting room. It was the ground finial of the anticipated festival, I woke up from my sofa float bed in the inner room with my White towel ties around my wrist, with a class cup on my right hand and tooth brush in the other hand, nodding and twinkling my eyes at the beautiful blossomed flowers in the compound; it was raining heavily with frosty of the morning, I cocked my head to the lift to the right as I brushed and drank the water in my cup.

I ran inside and covered myself with blanket to escape from the hand of the cool at the moment, suddenly I had a knock on my door, guest what?!

When I opened the door...standing before me was three of my Aunty's children without clothes, naked and dragged.

"Good morning uncle" they greeted with humility.

"What are you doing in the rain?" I asked angrily.

"Uncle, we want to play in the rain," they demanded.

"What?" I yield at them.

"Uncle, you will not know how excited we will be if you grant our request," they both responded with one voice.

"Hmm...I'm short of word, can you go inside and turn on the room heater and get warm!" I said.

"Ah! Uncle, please take it easy on us, if you know the fun in playing in the rain is, you would not have asked us to go in," they responded tranquilly.

"Hai..! This children will not kill me in this house, " I shouted.

Its high time I let them go and play after all, they know the joy they derive from it. I fold my arms and watch them as they were playing, running and jumping in the rain, I later fell in love with what they were doing as everything was fun, but my age could not permit me to do that with them. Hmm..., I humming, what exactly is making them so excited, is there any unique thing in this morning rain?! I asked soliloquizing, I wish I could understand the secret behind what they were feeling to least say it is a good moment.

From behind me I heard other children singing, dancing and swimming in the dirty water, rejoicing. I watch them come together and song beautifully and among their songs, there is one that kept reechoing in my subconscious like a thunderous sound of the masquerade. I listened to my own heartbeats and the lyric that comes out of it, I relaxed my head on the pillow as they sang again.
