It is no news the lingering security issues facing jos and every parts of the country, how that the security system is plagued with threats of divers shapes. It is conspicuous that lives and properties are in the mercies of the days that passes by.
Within the confines of the stated facts, news are peddled and misrepresented from different spaces which obviously is now a medium used to the benefits of mischief makers to provoke the tension already on ground and to create fears and panic within the close cut communities.
It is on this regard, the Executive Director, Global Peace and Life Rescue Initiative – GOPRI, Amb. Melvin Ejeh hosted the bloggers, media men and OAPs in jos led by their chairman, discussing with them on the proper use of the media and charging them to help redeem the general public from rumors that will threaten their peace by constructive assemblage of news and messages. He speaking said “that the media has a vast array of effort and role to ensure peace and order be returned to the public space”. In response, the chairman of the bloggers association assured him of their collective effort in ensuring the right things are carried out at all times
